Welcome to your internship.
The goal of the work-based learning internship program is to provide students with a comprehensive education while preparing them for an increasingly competitive job market. Work based-learning internships brings the workplace into the classroom and transforms the workplace into a place of learning.

Step 1
DEADLINES:
Spring 2023 semester: November 15, 2023. Fall 2024 semester: March 1, 2024. The first thing you will need to do is to fill out an application to determine eligibility for a CTE Internship. Once you have completed the application, you will need to get a CTE Teacher recommendation.
After completing your application, please email:
JaLee Alger, WBL Coordinator for the Sevier School District with the email of your CTE Teacher or a teacher of a pathway related course to recommend you for an internship. JaLee will reach send the Teacher Recommendation Form to the teacher submitted. Responses will be used to determine eligibility and placement. You will receive an acceptance/rejection letter by:
December 1, 2023 for Spring 2023 Internships March 10, 2024 for Fall 2024 Internships. When you receive your acceptance letter, you may present that to your High School Counselor to add the CTE Internship Class to your class schedule. |

Attend Parent/Intern Meeting and complete all coursework

You will also need to complete the "Workplace Skills Essay". Click on the following button to find the information to complete your essay. Then submit your completed essay in Canvas.
Step 4
Register as a job seeker at jobs.utah.gov
NOTE: When registering, please do NOT register with your school email.
After registering as a job seeker, you will need to complete the online workshops and schedule an appointment to complete the Mock Interview with Kurt Heath
